Fox News was urged not to broadcast Tucker Carlson's documentary series during the Capitol riots on January 6, because its trailers aroused strong opposition from Democrats and Republicans.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an anti-hate organization founded in 1913, "strongly" urges Fox News to "reconsider broadcasting this show," which will premiere on Fox National TV next week.

Mr. Carlson’s documentary series claimed to “tell the true story of the Capitol riots” and seemed to put forward a conspiracy theory that the incident was orchestrated by the US government.

"In the trailer cleared by the Patriots, apparently scheduled to be broadcast on the Fox Nation streaming platform on November 1, the laundry list of Carlson and the disinformation artist interviewed by the film indicated that the United States Congress The attack on the building is in a way a" ADL CEO and National Director Jonathan Greenblatt (Jonathan Greenblatt) in a letter to Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch (Lachlan Murdoch) Said, "false flags" and "leftists are hunting rightists, trapping them in Guantanamo Bay... let them rot there".

"Let's call it: a despicable, indisputable lie and a blatant attempt to rewrite history," he added. "As an organization dedicated to combating anti-Semitism and all forms of hatred, we remain deeply concerned that the false narratives and crazy conspiracy theories presented by Carlson will sow further divisions and may inspire violence."

"By playing this so-called documentary, which is full of images of Americans being waterboarded and helicopters leaving Afghanistan and now landing at home, you are giving permission for another conspiracy theory: January 6 is the internal work of the US government . Intent to round up and imprison conservatives," Mr. Greenblatt added.

He continued: "As the person in charge of a well-known news organization, I have to ask: where is the boundary between you and Fox? Before you can say enough, how many people still need to die, or how many people must support unfounded Conspiracy?"

He said that such inflammatory remarks are neither legitimate political discourse nor heated debates. "Whether it is directed at the Jewish community or other minorities, such dangerous rhetoric can trigger violence."

The trailer for the Great Purge of the Patriots also aroused criticism from both parties.

On Thursday morning, two Republican members of Congress — Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinsinger of Illinois — called out the trailer. Both served on the special committee of the U.S. House of Representatives investigating the riots on January 6.

Ms. Cheney wrote on her Twitter: “Fox News seems to be providing Tucker Carlson with a platform to spread the same type of lies that triggered the violence on January 6.” “As Fox News knows, the election It was not stolen, and January 6 was not a "fake flag" operation."

She also tagged Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch, CEO Susanna Scott, President Jay Wallace and former House Speaker Paul D. Ryan.

Mr. Kinsinger said: "Anyone who works for Fox News must speak up. It's disgusting. It seems Fox News doesn't even pretend anymore."
